OPD Social Media Terms of Use

OPD is excited to welcome you to our social media accounts! Please be aware each individual is responsible for their own participation with OPD's accounts and OPD is not able to guarantee the security or confidentiality of information shared on them. If information posted should be kept confidential, please email us at opdreceptionist@mt.gov. Posting of any content on any OPD social media account by OPD employee, follower, subscriber or fan, constitutes acceptance of the terms of use described here. Note all content posted or submitted for posting on an OPD social media account is public and subject to public disclosure laws.

Moderation of Content

OPD's social media accounts are intended to serve as an online means of communication with the public and serve as limited public forums for discussion. OPD's communications are managed and monitored by the OPD executive team during regular business hours Monday-Friday 8-5PM. Outside of regular business hours (including holidays and weekends), the accounts are only periodically monitored. 

OPD intends all social media accounts to be considered appropriate for all public audiences and will moderate any content not deemed appropriate as listed in Policy 240, Social Media Policy section 3.1.2.4. If content deemed innapropriate is posted to any of OPD's social media accounts the agency will remove the innapropriate content without notice and as soon as possible. OPD reserves the right to remove and/or block anyone who posts innapropriate material as determined by the agency. 

Denial of Access to Social Media Accounts

Repeated violations of OPD's terms of use for social media accounts may result in permanent removal from engaging with OPD's platforms on social media. If you wish to contest the removal of access or content, please contact us at 406-496-6080 or opdreceptionist@mt.gov.

Community Guidelines by Platform

 

Facebook's Community Standards

All comments posted to OPD's Facebook site are bound by Facebook's Community Standards and OPD reserves the right to report any violation of these Standards to Facebook with the intention of Facebook taking appropriate and responsive action.

Twitter Rules

All content posted to OPD's Twitter site are bound by the Twitter Rules and OPD reserves the right to report any violation of these rules to Twitter with the intention of Twitter taking appropriate and responsive action.

Instagram Community Guidelines

All content posted to OPD's Instagram site are bound by the Instagram Community Guidelines and OPD reserves the right to report any violation of these rules to Instagram with the intention of Instagram taking appropriate and responsive action.

LinkedIn Professional Community Policies

All content posted to OPD's LinkedIn site are bound by the LinkedIn Professional Community Policies and OPD reserves the right to report any violation of these rules to LinkedIn with the intention of LinkedIn taking appropriate and responsive action.
